Hotels round the world - Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers

The room assigned was a top-floor small corner room, river-side.
It was definitely away from elevators, ice machines and the Club Lounge, but the outside noise on that side (streets, river, tunnel effect from lower-level traffic lanes, etc.) was definitely more than I could stand, especially at night. Attempts to be moved to a lake-side room failed, somehow surprizingly given my top-level (Platinum) spg membership. [That hotel network boasts offering upgrades and better rooms to top-level members.]
Also accessing the Internet was problematic and I had to repeatedly call the company managing the service to obtain only momentary improvements.
Unable to sleep properly, unable to work properly, having literally wasted hours to try to improve the situation, I had no other choice than to move out after one night (while booked for a whole week). The management waved the early-departure fee and offered miles as a compensation for the trouble incurred.
One more thing: incoming parcels are handled by a FedEx office within the hotel charging a storage fee: $10 for 1.1 to 10 lbs, $15 for 10.1 to 20 lbs. I paid $25 for two packages.
